Cakewalk Installation Instructions
User manual for the Toontrack EZdrummer 2 Virtual Drum Module contain basic instructions that need to be followed during installation and operation. Before starting your appliance, the user manual should be read through carefully. Installers (Addictive Drums 1, BFD 1 &2, Eco, EZdrummer and Superior Drummer 2 ONLY). Our installers work for Superior 3 but you may want to do a manual install. Most users do NOT need to run the installer. It only installs loops for the products listed above.

After you register and install the software, you can launch the desktop app or load it as a virtual instrument track. All of the functions remain the same both as a plug-in inside a DAW. We have midi 'groove clips' in the folder named 'other midi mappings'. It's the folder with “Session Drummer” in the name. They are NOT in the installer.
You can preview our midi files inside Sonar if you add them to the Sonar browser using the steps below. You can also store our loops any place on your drive and save the location as a 'location preset'.
Copy this folder into your Sonar Session Drummer 3 PatternsGroove Monkee folder. This folder is installed by Cakewalk's installer and contains some of our free grooves.
1. Open the Sonar browser (Views menu, Browser) and go to the media tab.

2. Select “Session Drummer 3 MIDI Drum Loops” from the drop down box. This displays the Groove Monkee folder.
3. Right Click on the 'Groove Monkee' folder and select the 'properties' tab.
4. Copy the 'location' of the Groove Monkee folder.
5. Paste this location into Windows Explorer’s address bar and open the folder. Copy our folder inside.
Cakewalk Studio Instruments (SI-Drum Kit VST)
You can use the same loops and install procedure outlined above with the Studio Instruments drum kits.
